Man Severely Injured In Easton Stabbing, Suspect Charged With Attempted Homicide, Police Say

A man was seriously injured after being stabbed multiple times in Easton before dawn Thursday, authorities said.

A 30-year-old man was found with multiple stab wounds in a home on South 11th Street shortly before 12:40 a.m., Easton Police Lt. Matthew Gerould said in a release.

The man was taken to a local hospital for treatment of severe but survivable injuries, Gerould said.

Meanwhile, Michael Tran, 28, was identified as the suspect after he was found hiding near the 1000 block of Pine Street shortly after 1:50 a.m., authorities said.

Tran, of Wilson, was arrested and charged with criminal attempt to commit homicide, aggravated assault, tampering with physical evidence, recklessly endangering another person and possession of instruments of a crime.

Tran is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday, Gerould said.
